The swallows of Scotland

Quick coffee break and post on birds. San Juan Capistrano has annual return of a little one called the Swallow. Likes mud. Small and cute. Not overwhelming as it nests each spring at the mission. The return is mostly legend. Scotland, on the other hand, has Starlings that can blacken the sky near Gretna Green. In a flock, they form shapes you’d think only Pixar could create. I saw b-roll this a.m. on NBC’s Today show. It has to be making the rounds on other news programs. No words required to describe.

Here’s a link to a Scotish photographer who has a few close-ups of Starlings in his home country. Oh, and his landscapes are beautiful.
